Our Shop & Bakery

The Bakery

Our purpose-built bakery was opened in November 2008 to cater for an expanding business that continues to grow.

Having outgrown our old bakery which was based in an old chapel, the previous owners commissioned the building of a built for purpose new bakery along with a suite of offices and a conference room plus better facilities for our staff to relax in when taking a break.

The building of the new bakery started in April 2008 and was completed in November 2008. Since the opening in 2008 and with the arrival of the new owners, there have been just a few changes with regard to office space and improving the onsite shop and cafe space. The Conference room became our offices and our old offices are now the cafe! We no longer run the onsite shop or cafe but they do sell all of our products. You can call in at the shop to pick up a cake, bakes, pies or pasties or sit and relax with a nice drink in lovely surroundings.

Our Chesterfield Shop

Our beautiful shop is a traditional Victorian shop full of “Olde Worlde” charm, retaining many of the original fixtures and fittings. It is well known in the Chesterfield area for its looks, friendly staff and of course, its products.

All of our delicious products are on sale and our highly trained staff can advise on all our products and take orders for celebration cakes or any outside catering you require, from working lunches to wedding breakfasts.

We are locally renowned for our mouth-watering roast sandwiches, including turkey, beef and pork, served with stuffing, cranberry or apple sauce.

We are open 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday – we look forward to seeing you soon.

The shop fronts a part of Chesterfield town centre known as the Shambles which originally dates back to the 12th century. The Shamble’s narrow streets are both quaint and home to a variety of shops and tea rooms. Of particular historical interest is a timber framed pub called the Royal Oak, which dates back to 1722 and has accommodated such guests as The Knights Templar during the time of the Crusades.
